MNBOW & MDHA

The Minnesota Bowhunters Association (MNBOW) will share resources with the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association (MDHA). Together, we will create a stronger, united voice for hunters while advancing the rights and interests of bowhunters across the state. If you’re passionate about hunting, conservation, and the outdoors, this collaboration is for you.

From advocating for bowhunter rights to sharing valuable resources and fostering education, here’s everything you need to know about what this partnership means for you and the hunting community.

Strengthening Bowhunter Rights Through Partnership With the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association

A Shared Vision for Conservation and Hunting

Hunting in Minnesota is more than a hobby—it's a way to connect with nature, conserve wildlife, and carry on cherished traditions. Both MNBOW and MDHA share a commitment to ensuring hunting remains a sustainable and accessible activity for current and future generations.

This partnership allows us to pool our resources, expertise, and influence to support hunters like you, protect wildlife, and encourage ethical hunting practices. While our platforms may differ, our shared values make this collaboration a natural fit.

What Does This Partnership Mean for You?

We’ve worked hard to ensure this collaboration benefits everyone in the archery and broader hunting communities. Here’s how we’re bringing real value to members of both organizations:

1. Exclusive Content Through *Whitetales Magazine*

Bowhunters will soon gain more visibility within the MDHA community, thanks to our shared focus on creating meaningful content. Whitetales Magazine, MDHA’s renowned publication, will now include more articles and resources tailored specifically to bowhunters and archery enthusiasts.

Whether it’s tips on perfecting your aim, the latest gear reviews, or updates on bowhunter rights, you can look forward to an enriched reading experience curated for hunters who love their bows.

2. Legislative Advocacy for Bowhunter Rights

One of the most exciting aspects of this partnership is the opportunity to amplify bowhunters' voices in the legislative arena. MDHA employs a full-time lobbyist in St. Paul to monitor and influence legislation that impacts Minnesota hunters.

Through this partnership, MNBOW will collaborate with MDHA’s lobbyist to better act on legislative issues affecting bowhunting. We’ll keep a close watch on proposed policies to ensure Minnesota legislators respect and uphold our hunting rights.

This collaboration means that bowhunters will benefit from stronger representation in state decision-making processes—a critical element in maintaining and protecting the traditions we love.

3. MNBOW Leadership and Independence

While joining forces with MDHA, we’ve ensured that MNBOW retains its own Board of Directors and Advisors. This allows us to stay focused on the unique needs and priorities of bowhunters, ensuring your voice is always heard.

By maintaining independent leadership, MNBOW can continue to champion issues that matter specifically to the bowhunting community while benefiting from MDHA’s expansive resources and reach.

4. Dual Membership for Comprehensive Benefits

For dedicated hunters who want to maximize their impact and access the best of both worlds, we’re offering a Dual Membership. By joining both MNBOW and MDHA, you’ll gain access to exclusive benefits from each organization, including resources, events, and opportunities to engage with fellow hunting enthusiasts.

Supporting both organizations not only enhances your experience as a hunter but also bolsters our collective efforts to advocate for hunters and wildlife conservation in Minnesota.

5. Fostering Education Through Forkhorn Camps

MNBOW is thrilled to support MDHA's Forkhorn Camps, which cultivate the next generation of hunters and conservationists. These camps offer Bowhunter Safety Education Courses, ensuring that young hunters develop the skills and knowledge necessary to hunt safely, responsibly, and ethically.

By participating in or supporting Forkhorn Camps, you’re helping to nurture a vibrant and well-informed hunting community that will carry on Minnesota’s rich traditions for years to come.

6. Unified Support for Common Goals

While MNBOW and MDHA may occasionally differ in stance on specific issues, we align on many key topics that matter to hunters. From promoting conservation to protecting hunting rights and fostering community engagement, our shared support strengthens our ability to succeed in these areas.

With this partnership, we’re demonstrating that collaboration doesn’t mean compromising on our individual missions—it means multiplying our ability to make a positive impact.
